Are you awake? レネ ここで何してんの？ Why are you in my bed? アリー ちょっと夢見ちゃって。 I had a dream. レネ 話せば？ Talk. アリー 夢っていうより、啓示だと思う。なんと、ジョン・ケイジが出てくるの。とんでもなく聞こえるけど、ジョンが「その人」みたい。ジョンと私てきっと、そういう運命。 I think it was more like an epiphany. It involved John Cage. Now, Renee, don't think I'm crazy, but I think he's the One. John Cage and I -- he's the One. レネ ぴー。 Phew.

You had a great voice on the phone, but you're better-looking in person. ボブ ああ、どうも。君だって、そうだよ。じゃ行こうか？ Oh, well, thank you. You too, actually. Well, shall we go? エレイン あのね。さっきはランチがいいって言ったけど、じつはあれウソなの。全然知らない人といきなり夕ごはんは危ないと思っただけ。でも、もう安心。せっかくだから、夜にしない？ Listen. I lied about wanting to have lunch. I hate lunch dates. I just agreed to them because it's safer than going out at night with a total stranger. But now that we've met, forget lunch. シーン7　◆アリーのオフィス ジョン 僕らのあいだで隠しごとなんて、水くさいな。 You know, when something's the matter, we usually tell each other. アリー あぁ・・・う、今までにさ・・・えーと。ジョン。たとえば、私に「それ」らしき人が現れて、でも、その人には、ほかに誰かいるみたいなの。どういう仲かは知らないけど。でも、彼が、「その人」かも・・・ Ugh. ... Did you ever ... Um ... John, if I were to meet a guy who could be the One, who ... but he's sort of involved with somebody else -- how involved, I don't know -- but he could be the One ... ジョン 僕も経験ある。 That happened to me. アリー ほんと？ It did? ジョン ああ。ある人に、僕は運命を感じてたけど。彼女はまだ、なんていうか、元の彼と別れてはいるけれど、ふっ切れてはなかったんだ。僕と元彼も友達で、それでも、めったにない出会いだと思ったし、彼女ほどの・・・ Mm-hm.
